Your

Michael Midgley and Wilma van
den Bosch |
" We are experienced travellers
and we enjoy making your stay the best it can be. We love living
here in these beautiful surroundings with our young family, David,
Amber and Luca, and welcome the opportunity to share our knowledge
and peaceful garden environment with you."
|
|
Michael is a long-time
local with in depth knowledge of the local history, fishing, adventure
activities wildlife, geography and plants. As
an experienced fisherman, hunter, gardener and photographer he knows
this country very well and has assisted many international and local
scientists on expeditions of discovery!!

Wilma
emigrated from the Netherlands in 1992. She still looks at the lake
and New Zealand throught the eyes of a traveller. She speaks Dutch
(obviously) and a bit of German. She can also
point out places to go for families with young children (within
Lake Tekapo & the wider region).
We live across
the road with our children (David, Amber and Luca ).
We try to be available as much as we can to ensure that you have
everything you need to make your stay a happy one.

We couldn't
run the hostel without our staff Maryrose, Margret and Ruth.
|
 |
Maryrose is an
experienced mountaineer and can help with information about the
surrounding mountains.
Margret is an
amazing woman who loves laundry. She has lived on many backcountry
stations and has a vast knowledge of the South Island.
Ruth has lived
in Tekapo all her life and knows more about its history than we
could ever write down.
