tailor-made-tekapo backpackers is a friendly, family-run hostel in the beautiful and peaceful village of Lake Tekapo. Nestled in a quiet corner of the village, we are only 300 meters from the bus stop and the main road. We are half way between Christchurch and Queenstown/Wanaka (all less than 3 hours away) and we are only just over one hour from Aoraki/Mt Cook.

You'll never forget the glacier lake, famous for it torquoise colour, contrasting with the golden tussocks of the Mackenzie Country and the dramatic Southern Alps that surround it.
